Accessibility training
Our web accessibility training sessions are fun and interactive. The knowledge is immediately applicable to your work. Using examples and anecdotes from "real life", Nic Steenhout paints a vivid and memorable scene which will help you understand and remember the issues and solutions. There is a training session suitable for all levels of knowledge.
Our half-day sessions offer an introduction to web accessibility. These sessions are not highly technical, although you will need a basic understanding of HTML. It is ideal for site or content managers, or analysts working on site development.
Our full day sessions are more in-depth and technical and geared towards web developers. You will learn about each guideline, what barriers they address and how to ensure a barrier free site.
We also offer customised training sessions.
Scheduled training sessions
These sessions are offered in various locations in New Zealand, typically Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, pending demand.
Because these sessions are intensive and attendees are asked to participate, the number of places is limited to 12 for each session.
Each participant will receive a CD with reference materials, tutorials and resources for further learning.

Custom training sessions
Generic training sessions may not always meet your needs.
The added advantage is that sessions are customised to your needs. If your site was assessed for accessibility, the report can be used as the starting point for your training. The session will take into account the level of knowledge of your group, any specific question you might have, and we will develop specific solutions for your website.
Custom training sessions are often more cost effective when you need to train several of your staff. Travel costs are reduced, and the cost of the training is also lower than several individual registrations to a scheduled training.
Custom training sessions are usualy provided in New Zealand and Australia. We am able to travel further if required.
